About the Program
The TechServe Employability Program is an initiative by the Association of Ghana Startups (AGS). The program creates structured opportunities for graduates to gain hands-on work experience within Ghana's startup ecosystem while supporting startups with talent, innovation, and operational capacity. Through this initiative, AGS serves as a coordinating and placement body, connecting National Service Personnel with startup companies across sectors including technology, agribusiness, fintech, healthtech, logistics, creative industries, climate innovation, education, and other digital services.
Program Objectives
- Enhance graduate employability through practical startup experience
- Support Ghanaian startups with access to skilled and motivated talent
- Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation
- Build a pipeline of startup-ready professionals for Ghana's growing innovation ecosystem
- Facilitate mentorship, professional development, and workplace readiness
- Strengthen collaboration between academia, startups, industry, and the National Service ecosystem
About the Association of Ghana Startups (AGS)
AGS is a national organization dedicated to supporting and advancing startups, entrepreneurs, and innovation-driven enterprises in Ghana. AGS works to: advocate for startup-friendly policies; strengthen Ghana's innovation ecosystem; build strategic partnerships; facilitate investment and growth opportunities; promote entrepreneurship and digital innovation; and support startup capacity development. Through programs, partnerships, policy engagement, and ecosystem-building initiatives, AGS continues to position Ghana as a leading innovation and startup hub in Africa.

Program Structure
Startup Enrollment
Complete AGS membership, onboarding and profiling – submit role descriptions, provide supervision, commit to standards.
Graduate Registration
Submit applications via AGS website, indicate preferred sectors, participate in screening.
Matching & Placement
AGS matches candidates to suitable startups, facilitates onboarding and coordination.
Capacity Building
Career readiness sessions, startup workshops, mentorship, networking.
Monitoring & Support
Track progress, address concerns, ensure quality learning outcomes.
